Test the iOS beta on TestFlight

The public beta installs right away, with no waiting list and no account:

  1. Install the free TestFlight app by Apple from the App Store.
  2. Open the invite link on your iPhone or iPad: testflight.apple.com/join/A7JTVNfG
  3. Tap Accept and then Install. The beta appears on your home screen like a normal app.

You need iOS 16.4 or newer. It is the same app as on the other platforms: you bring your own legal playlist as an M3U link or with Xtream Codes credentials. IPTV Player One is a player only and contains no channels, content or subscriptions.

What is in the beta

  • Live TV, movies and series from your own playlist, with groups, search, favorites and continue watching.
  • Hardware accelerated video: the player uses the video chip of your device, so 4K and HEVC files play smoothly on recent iPhones and iPads.
  • Subtitles: tracks embedded in the file can be turned on, and you can download subtitles in many languages. The audio track is selectable too.
  • Chromecast support, with the honest note that not every file format is accepted by the TV; the app will tell you when that happens.
  • Portrait and landscape viewing, a draggable seek bar, and the same trial and device code activation as on desktop.

Beta honestly also means

This is a test version. Playback has improved a lot recently, but there can still be rough edges, especially with unusual files. If something does not work the way you expect, let us know through TestFlight or the supportdesk. We usually reply within a day.

Want to read more first?

The iPhone and iPad installation guide walks through every step from TestFlight to your first playback. The download page has the current status of every platform, how casting works is covered in the Chromecast guide, and the free 14-day trial is the same on every platform.

What it will cost: once the app is in the store, it is sold as a subscription tied to your account, renewed by the store until you cancel. There is no lifetime option outside Windows. The free 14-day trial is ours and runs on every platform. See the pricing page for the amounts.

Frequently asked questions

How do I install the beta?

First install the free TestFlight app by Apple from the App Store. Then open the invite link on your iPhone or iPad and tap Accept; the beta installs like a normal app. TestFlight is the official Apple testing program.

Is IPTV Player One coming to the App Store?

That is the plan: the public beta is the final step before that. Once the beta is stable enough, we will submit the app to the App Store.

Does the beta play 4K?

Yes. The beta uses a playback engine that runs on the video chip of your iPhone or iPad (hardware decoding), so even heavy 4K files play smoothly on recent devices. A fast and stable internet connection still matters for 4K.

Do subtitles and casting work?

Subtitles embedded in the file can be turned on in the player, and you can download subtitles in many languages. Chromecast is part of the beta; not every file format is accepted by the TV and the app will tell you honestly when that happens.

What do you expect from testers?

Just watch the way you normally would. If something feels off, send feedback through TestFlight (shake your device or take a screenshot) or open a ticket in our supportdesk. Every report helps us make the App Store version better.

IPTV Player One contains no channels, content or subscriptions. It is a media player for playlists you legally own or are licensed to use. Using it for pirated content is not permitted.
