Two good players, two different worlds

TiviMate has earned its reputation: it is one of the best IPTV players for Android TV, designed for a big screen and a remote control. That focus is also its limit. There is no TiviMate for Windows, no TiviMate for Mac, and no TiviMate for iPhone - searches for those lead to Android emulator workarounds or to unofficial clone sites that have nothing to do with the real app.

IPTV Player One starts from the other side: it is a desktop-first IPTV player for Windows 10 and 11, macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Android, with an iPhone/iPad beta on TestFlight. Both apps share the same principle, and we think it is the right one: they are players only. Where IPTV Player One wins

The reason to pick IPTV Player One over TiviMate is simple: you watch on a computer. A real desktop app means proper window management, keyboard and mouse, and no emulator tricks. And the feature TiviMate cannot offer at all: casting from your PC or Mac to a Chromecast or Google TV, where you pick the subtitle and audio track and the subtitles stay in sync - with playback controls staying on your computer.

Where TiviMate wins

Honesty works both ways. On an Android TV box with a remote, TiviMate’s interface is excellent and battle-tested, and its Premium plan covers up to five devices. If your only screen is an Android TV and you never watch on a computer, TiviMate serves you well - and because both apps use the same open playlist formats, you can also run both and use each where it is strongest.

One more thing worth knowing: this is not a Windows-only player. IPTV Player One runs on Windows, macOS, iPhone, iPad and Android, with casting to a Chromecast from the computer. A lifetime license exists on Windows; the App Store version is sold as a subscription instead.
