Install IPTV Player One on iPhone and iPad

The iOS version is a public beta on TestFlight, Apple's official testing program. This guide takes you from the invite link to watching with your own playlist in a few minutes.

Good to know about the beta

This is a test version, and honestly labeled as one: playback has improved a lot recently, but there can still be rough edges, especially with unusual files. Updates arrive automatically through TestFlight. Once the beta is stable enough, the app goes to the App Store, where it is sold as a subscription; the beta itself is free to test, and the free 14-day trial and device activation work the same as on the other platforms.

Troubleshooting

Install TestFlight first, then open the invite link again in Safari on the iPhone or iPad itself, not on a computer. The link works without a waiting list or account.

My playlist does not load

Copy the playlist link or login details exactly as your provider sent them, with no extra spaces. If an M3U URL containing get.php will not load, try the Xtream Codes login option with the same server address, username and password; some providers block direct M3U downloads. Read M3U vs Xtream Codes if you are not sure which format you have.

Something else feels off

Send feedback straight from TestFlight (shake your device or take a screenshot) or open a ticket in the supportdesk. Every report makes the App Store version better, and you usually get a reply within a day.

Watching on a computer too? See the Windows guide or the macOS guide. Everything about the iOS version is on the iPhone page.

How it works

  1. 1

    Install TestFlight

Install the free TestFlight app by Apple from the App Store. TestFlight is Apple's official program for testing apps before they reach the App Store.

  2. 2

    Join the beta

Open the invite link on your iPhone or iPad: testflight.apple.com/join/gJrkeXz5. Tap Accept and then Install. The beta appears on your home screen like a normal app. You need iOS 16.4 or newer.

  3. 3

    Add your playlist

Open the app and choose an M3U link or an Xtream Codes login, with the details from your provider. IPTV Player One is a player only: it contains no channels, content or subscriptions, so you bring your own legal sources.

  4. 4

    Start watching

Browse live TV, movies and series with groups, search, favorites and continue watching. Your free 14-day trial starts the first time you play something. No account needed. Playback is hardware accelerated, so 4K and HEVC files play smoothly on recent devices.

  5. 5

    Activate your device

To keep watching after the trial, the app shows a device code. Go to iptvplayerone.com/koppelen in the browser on any device, enter the short code or scan the QR code, and your iPhone or iPad is activated. Doing this on the website is easier than typing inside the app.

  6. 6

    Cast to your TV

Chromecast is part of the beta: put your iPhone and your Chromecast or Google TV on the same Wi-Fi network, start playback and tap the cast icon. You choose the subtitle and audio track on the cast. Not every file format is accepted by the TV; the app tells you honestly when that happens.
