Frequently asked questions

What is IPTV Player One?

IPTV Player One is an IPTV player. It runs fully on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), the macOS version is fully available on the Mac page, and an Android beta is available on the Android page. The iPhone beta is open for public testing on TestFlight. It plays live TV, movies and series from your own M3U link or Xtream Codes login, and from Windows and Mac it casts to Chromecast and Google TV with subtitles that stay in sync. It is a player only: the app contains no channels, content or subscriptions.

Does the app include channels or content?

No. IPTV Player One ships without channels, streams or subscriptions of any kind. You connect it to your own legal sources, such as a service you already pay for. Our guide Is IPTV legal? explains this in plain terms.

Which sources am I allowed to use?

Use playlists you have the rights to: a paid service that gives you an M3U link or Xtream Codes login, or another source that is licensed in your country. The app does not supply or check content, so that responsibility stays with you.

How does the 14-day free trial work?

The trial starts the first time you play something in the app, not at the moment you install it. You get 14 days with every feature unlocked, and you do not need an account or a credit card. After the trial you decide whether to buy a license.

How much does IPTV Player One cost?

Bought from us, a license costs $5.95 per year or $9.95 one time for lifetime use, per device. In the App Store it is a subscription instead, $5.99 per year or $1.49 per month, renewed by Apple until you cancel. Prices from us are in US dollars; any euro amount is an indication based on the daily ECB rate. The pricing page has the details.

Is it a subscription?

Not when you buy from us: the yearly license is one you renew yourself each year, the lifetime license is a single purchase, and nothing is taken from your account unless you start a payment yourself. In the App Store it is a subscription: Apple renews it automatically until you cancel it in your Apple account.

How do I activate my device?

Every installation shows a device code inside the app. Go to iptvplayerone.com/koppelen and enter the short code, or scan the QR code, to link your license to that device. Licenses are valid per device.

Does casting work with Google TV, and which Chromecast do I need?

Yes, casting works with Chromecast devices and with TVs that have Google TV built in. The only requirement is that the Chromecast or Google TV is on the same Wi-Fi network as your PC or Mac. You pick the subtitle and audio track directly on the cast. The iPhone beta can cast too; on Android casting is planned.

Do subtitles stay in sync when I cast?

Yes, that is the core of the app. When you cast live TV, movies or series, you choose the subtitle and audio track on the cast itself, and the subtitles stay in sync with the video. See how to cast IPTV to Chromecast for a step-by-step walkthrough.

Which playlist formats are supported?

You can add a playlist as an M3U link or as an Xtream Codes login, and you can keep multiple playlists side by side. Stalker and MAC Portal are not supported. Not sure which format you have? Read M3U vs Xtream Codes.

Which languages does the app support?

The app is fully translated in all 22 languages, including English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Greek, Russian and Polish. You pick the language in the app settings; this website is available in the same 22 languages.

What if I get a new PC?

A license belongs to one PC and we do not transfer licenses between machines. On a new PC the app shows a new device code and needs its own license. The 14-day trial starts there too, so you can check everything works before you buy again. A lifetime license is Windows only; on Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android the subscription follows your account instead.

Where do I find the installation guide?

There is a step-by-step installation guide per platform: Windows, macOS and iPhone and iPad. All guides, including casting and subtitle sync, are collected on the guides page.

How do I get support or a refund?

Open a ticket in our supportdesk, you usually get a reply within a day. Not satisfied after buying? You can request your money back within 14 days of purchase, as described in the refund policy.
