IPTV Player One for Mac, now in the Mac App Store

Get it from the Mac App Store

The easiest route: open the Mac App Store, install IPTV Player One and it just opens. No right-click, nothing to allow first. Updates arrive through the App Store, the app is in 31 languages, and it is the same app as on Apple TV and as the iPhone and iPad app.

Unlike many IPTV apps in the Mac App Store, it also runs on Intel Macs, not only on Apple Silicon. You need macOS 13.3 or newer.

IPTV Player One is a player only. It ships with no channels, content or subscriptions, so you bring your own playlist from a legal source, as an M3U link or an Xtream Codes login.

What the Mac App Store version does

Live TV is sorted by group and by country, with search across your whole playlist. Movies and series remember where you stopped, so pressing play continues instead of restarting. The home screen is yours to arrange, with rows like Top 10 in your country, Recently added, Highly rated and In 4K, and the TV guide shows now and next. Favourites are kept apart for live TV, movies, series and radio, and radio gets artwork that keeps moving instead of a still picture.

It plays .mkv, HEVC and 4K. You choose the audio track and the subtitle track, set the subtitle size, and correct the lip sync when a stream drifts. The parental lock puts groups behind a PIN, and you can keep several playlists side by side, each with its own library. Messy lists get cleaned up: separator rows hidden, titles tidied, duplicate channels merged.

It casts live TV, movies and series to a Chromecast (also called Google Cast), Google TV or Android TV, where you choose the subtitle and audio track on the cast itself and the subtitles stay in sync.

After the trial your subscription runs through the Mac App Store: no device code, no license to link, it simply follows your Apple Account. The installation guide walks through every step.

Also on Apple TV, with the same subscription

IPTV Player One runs on Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD too, on tvOS 16.4 or newer. It is the same App Store listing, so one subscription covers your iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV as long as they use the same Apple Account. On the television the app plays on the TV itself, so there is nothing to cast, and you enter your playlist on your phone through a short code instead of typing it with the remote.
