Install IPTV Player One on macOS
From download to casting on your TV in a few minutes. This guide covers picking the right Mac download, opening the app the first time, adding your playlist and starting your free trial.
Troubleshooting
No Chromecast found
This is nearly always the Local Network permission. Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Local Network, and turn the switch for IPTV Player One on. Already on? Toggle it off and on again and restart the app: after an app update macOS can silently lose this permission even though the switch still looks enabled. Also check that your Mac and your Chromecast are on the same Wi-Fi network; guest networks and client isolation stop devices from seeing each other. More casting help is in the known issues guide.
My playlist does not load
Copy the playlist link exactly as your provider sent it, with no extra spaces. If an M3U URL containing get.php will not load, some providers block that type of direct link; try the Xtream Codes login option with the same server address, username and password instead. Subtitles
Text subtitles work locally and while casting: you pick the subtitle and audio track on the cast itself and subtitles stay in sync. Image-based subtitles (PGS and DVD) do not play locally on macOS yet. If subtitles drift on a particular channel, read the guide on IPTV subtitles that are out of sync.
Updates
The app checks for new versions itself and updates quietly; the installation completes when you quit the app. There is nothing to download again by hand.

Pick the right download
The Mac version comes in two downloads on the download page: one for Apple Silicon (M1 and newer) and one for Intel Macs. Not sure which you have? Open the Apple menu, choose About This Mac, and check whether it shows an Apple chip or an Intel processor.

Install from the dmg
Open the downloaded dmg file and drag IPTV Player One to your Applications folder, like any Mac app.

Open the app the first time
The app does not have Apple notarization yet, so macOS blocks a normal double click at first. Right-click (or Control-click) the app in Applications, choose Open, and confirm. You only need to do this once; after that it opens normally.

Add your playlist
Choose an M3U link or an Xtream Codes login and enter the details from your provider. IPTV Player One is a player only: it contains no channels, content or subscriptions, so you bring your own legal sources. You can add more playlists later, each with its own cache.

Start watching
Browse live TV, movies and series, organized in groups, with search and favorites. Your free 14-day trial starts the first time you play something. No account needed, and the app is available in 20 languages.

Allow the local network for casting
The first time you cast, macOS asks whether the app may use the local network. Allow it: without that permission the app cannot see your Chromecast. Make sure your Mac and your Chromecast or Google TV are on the same Wi-Fi network, start playback, click the cast icon and pick your device.

Activate your device
To keep watching after the trial, buy a license and link this Mac. The app shows a device code and a QR code. Go to iptvplayerone.com/koppelen, enter the short code or scan the QR code, and your device is activated.
